The District accepts household batteries at the District office or at the Tox Box. This includes:
- alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9-volt)
- rechargeable household batteries
- button batteries
- power tool batteries
- Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd)
- Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH)
- Lithium Ion (Li-ion)
- Nickel Zinc (Ni-Zn)

*The Johnson County Solid Waste Management District is again taking alkaline batteries. This includes all non-rechargeable household batteries, such as alkaline AA, AAA, C, D, 9 volt. Call the office at 738-2546 for additional information.
