Recycle Appliances
Appliances that do not contain coolants (stoves, washers, dryers) can be dropped off free of charge at:
1. CrossRoads Recycling, 736-6099, 100 Eastview Drive, Franklin from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Mon – Fri. and 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Sat.
2. The Franklin Transfer Station, 730 Industrial Drive, will also accept both non and CFC-containing appliances; for fee information, call 736-4542.
Appliances with coolant or refrigerant can be taken to Appliance Recyclers of Indiana, 2025 English Ave., Indianapolis, 317-951-1234. Or contact Disposal Alternatives Organization, 317-291-4500, to schedule a free pick up of appliances and/or lawnmowers.
Also for home pickup of any appliance with refrigerant (refrigerator, freezor, air conditioner, dehumidifier) call NuGenesis at 1-800-487-1010. They will pick up any appliance at your residence for a fee of $45 (or less).
